Conflicts can arise constantly in the workplace, and the inability to come to a resolution can oftentimes lead to unwanted tension, low team morale, poor productivity, high turnover and even violence, with devastating results. Conflict can be expressed in numerous ways such as insults, non-cooperation, bullying and angry outbursts and can be caused by a range of triggers, from personality clashes, differences in workstyles, and misunderstood communication, to organisational mismanagement.
The most effective teams are those in which members feel safe enough to disagree with one another. A culture where dissent is allowed, or even encouraged, can spur innovation, diversity of thought and better decision-making.
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
In this programme, participants will be exposed to essential tools for addressing conflict in the workplace. Through the valuable techniques and approaches that will be presented, individuals will be empowered to effectively address the inherent difficulties associated with communicating and resolving challenging issues in the workplace by adequately addressing each party's interest for a fair outcome that can stand up to litigation.
