Anne Knowles Senior Specialist, Employers' Activities,International Labour Organisation (ILO)REAL LIFE SUCCESS STORIES – KEEPING EMPLOYEES AT WORK This session will provide participants with practical examples of organizations both in Trinidad and the region that have been able to end absenteeism within their organization. Anne Knowles, a national of New Zealand, has an Honours degree in Law from Canterbury University, NZ, and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program from the University of Hawaii, USA. Ms Knowles has had extensive practical experience in industrial relations and human resource management issues as the Legal Adviser and Industrial Executive for 12 years for the NZ meat export processing industry. She joined the New Zealand Employers’ Federation in 1991 and was the Chief Executive Officer of that organisation prior to her joining the Employers’ Bureau of the International Labour Organisation in February 2014. Ms Knowles has worked for the ILO in South East Asia, Central and Eastern Europe and, since August 2102, has been based in the ILO’s Office for the Caribbean in Port of Spain.
