PRESENTATION: ORGANIZATION CULTURE AND ABSENTEEISM  
This session will explore the dynamics of organization culture and how it is linked to absenteeism.

Mrs. Shian Ottley-Reid, Industrial and Organisational Psychologist, is Chief Executive Officer at Profiles Trinidad and Tobago Limited. She serves the organization as a senior leadership development consultant and operational executive. Shian has a unique blend of entrepreneurism and leadership & organizational development expertise. She has 15 years of experience working to influence change and results within organizations today.

Mrs. Ottley-Reid received her early education at St. Joseph’s Convent in Port of Spain, she then proceeded to the State University of New York at Stony Brook in the U.S.A. where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology. She was made a Fellow of the Honors College based on her research thesis and was very involved within the Caribbean Student population and also facilitated outreach programs within the community.

Shian then proceeded to Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, at the City University of New York where she graduated with a MBA in Industrial Organisational Psychology. While at “Baruch” she participated in many Entrepreneurial Seminars and Workshops. She became a Member of the American Psychological Association as well as the Society of Industrial Organisational Psychology (SIOP).

She has worked with both the private sector and public sector dealing with a variety of Human Capital challenges. She has worked within the EAP field, recruitment and selection and employee training and development. Shian has been a member of the Profiles International Training team for the last ten years and has attended several international conventions on Psychometric Assessments in North America and the Caribbean in order to equip her with the knowledge and expertise to be a vital part of Profiles Trinidad and Tobago Limited. Shian also has been involved with the development of the Caribbean Version of our Step One Survey assessment and continues a fair amount of research and validation activities in the psychometric assessment field.

Her passion, professional focus and expertise is in executive coaching, team building and communication, leadership development, strategic planning and visioning, critical thinking and problem solving.
