Akida Mohammed holds a degree in Sociology and Economics from the University of the West Indies and has been trained by ILO in Conciliation and Mediation, Joint Union/Management Negotiation Skills and Facilitation of Union/Management Negotiations. She has over 20 years experience in public and private sectors in Trinidad and Tobago. She was the Registrar of Trade Unions - responsible for the Trade Union’s Act and audit of all Trade Unions, Senior Conciliator at the Ministry of Labour, Examiner with the RR&CB (Registration, Recognition and Certification Board).
